CES is finally here and we’re showcasing G.hn momentum with live demos and new member announcements

For months, our members have been planning and preparing for what we promised would be our most positive show yet – and they didn't disappoint.

This week at CES, we are unveiling the latest developments in G.hn technology including live demos designed to show that users can connect any device, anywhere in the home, over any wire using the fastest and most reliable technology available today!

For the first time ever, smart TVs and Wi-Fi routers with embedded G.hn will be on display. We also have other exciting new demos including multi-vendor interoperability within each of the three  main G.hn system types (powerline, phoneline and coax), a large-scale network with multiple TVs running multiple videos over G.hn powerline and a PLC Smart Home system.

In line with showcasing and demonstrating the very latest developments that empower the home network of the future, our members will also be showing how G.hn copes with ‘Neighboring Networks’ in multi-dwelling units (MDUs) – a key differentiator between G.hn and other home networking technologies.

G.hn has been significantly growing in momentum in recent months particularly amongst the Asian service providers, manufacturers and test houses that are pioneering G.hn applications in the region. With this in mind, we are pleased to announce that Korea’s KT Corporation (previously Korea Telecom) has joined HomeGrid Forum as a Promoter member, adding to the global success of G.hn.
